A company announces HIPAA compliance — it's entering US healthcare, the most vendor-hungry regulated market there is.

Your play: Entering the market means hires who speak it: healthcare sales reps with health-system rolodexes, clinical advisors, compliance officers. Those searches start right around the announcement.

A company wins the license or clearance it's been waiting on — FDA, FCA, a banking charter — and go-to-market starts today.

Your play: The obvious one — but the edge is speed and specificity. A role open for 45+ days signals a struggling search; a company posting three variants of the same role signals urgency. Both are your best pitches.

Your play: A foreign company ramping up in your country is hiring in a market it doesn't understand, against local employers who move faster. Country-specific recruiters win these mandates over global agencies because they can actually deliver candidates this month.

Your play: Five open sales roles is more than one internal recruiter can fill on schedule. The hiring manager is measured on time-to-fill and is already behind. Offer to take three of the five reqs, not the whole function.

Your play: Funded companies hire fast and in bulk. A Series A usually means 10 to 30 new roles in the next two quarters. Pitch before the internal recruiter is hired, not after.

A company announces a major client win — and now has to deliver on it.

Your play: A services firm that wins a large account needs billable people on it within weeks, faster than permanent hiring allows. Contractors bridge the gap. Pitch the delivery lead the week of the announcement, before the bench runs dry.
