Re-Engagement Follow-Up Trigger
People you already messaged who showed new signals — the perfect excuse to follow up without being annoying
Here are people I've already reached out to in the last 30-60 days who haven't replied yet: [List from HeyReach or CRM]
From Clearcue, check if any of these people triggered NEW signals since my last message. I need to know:
- Who re-engaged? Which of these "dead" leads showed new activity?
- What did they do? What signal did they trigger? (Liked a post, commented, viewed profile, engaged with competitor content, posted about a relevant topic)
- When? How recently — are they active right now?
For each person who has new signals, generate a follow-up message that:
- Does NOT say "just following up" or "circling back"
- DOES reference their new signal naturally: "Saw you were looking into [topic from their signal] — thought this might be relevant..."
- Feels like a new conversation, not a desperate chase
- Is under 300 characters
Prioritize by signal recency — the most recent signals at the top.
Also flag: anyone who engaged with COMPETITOR content since my last message. These need a different approach — an urgency-based message that offers a quick comparison or demo.
Requirements
Brand or search signals running + list of previously contacted people
Pro tip
The people who didn't reply but then engaged with competitor content are your most urgent follow-ups. They're actively evaluating solutions and you're not in the conversation. A message like 'I noticed you've been exploring [competitor's space] — happy to show you how we compare in 10 minutes' is direct and works.
What happens
Clearcue reveals which of your 'dead' leads are actually still active — they just didn't reply to you. Claude generates follow-ups that reference their new activity, giving you a legitimate, non-annoying reason to re-enter their inbox. This is the highest-converting follow-up strategy because it's based on real behavior, not arbitrary timing.
